The American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED blended learning course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the Instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion a valid 2 year digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED is issued.

Course Format:

• Blended Learning: Includes both online training and an in-person skills session.
• Online Training: Must be completed before attending the in-person class.
  • Duration: 1-3 hours. Start at least 48 hours before the in-person session.
• In-Person Training: Hands-on skills session must be completed within 90 days of the online training.

Certification:

• Validity: 2 years
• Certificate: Digital, accessible any time after successful completion

Registration Requirements:

• Proof of Online Completion: Required to attend the in-person class.
• Email: Each student must provide a unique email address for course-related information.
• Comfortable Clothing: Dress comfortably as skills will be performed on the floor. A full round of CPR is required.
• Medical Restrictions: Contact the office before registering if you have medical restrictions to inquire about accommodation.
• Children: No children allowed in the in-person class (nursing infants are an exception).
